Happy Tuesday Fam, 🐻

I hope this month has been good to you so far! My college friends were in LA visiting me this week. There is nothing like spending time with people who truly know and love you. Truth be told, by the time Valentine’s Day showed up I was so exhausted that I ended up sleeping through most of it. Can’t say I was mad about it either. Haha.

Last week a lot of you said you wanted to focus on overthinking and anxiety. As I thought about what to share this week, something my Auntie Mary told me came to mind. I think I was downplaying something I did and she reminded me that taking one step that’s different is all it takes to open up something new or change a habit.

Then at church on Sunday, the pastor focused on the story of Noah sending out the raven and the dove after the flood. The raven went back and forth until the waters dried up. It didn’t bring anything back. It just kept flying around. So Noah sent out a dove. The first time it just comes back. The second time, it returned with just an olive leaf.

When the raven flies around and doesn’t really come back with anything, it just keeps circling. The way it was explained was that the raven represents that mindset of using the “what ifs” to justify not trying or working towards progress. Just spinning and and running through all of the possibilities of what could go wrong.

But the dove comes back with a simple olive leaf. Nothing huge or dramatic but still proof that something is shifting. When the pastor explained it that way, it made me think about Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s quote: “Faith is taking the first step even when you don’t see the whole staircase.”

Here’s a journal prompt if you need one:

What could taking one small step look like for me right now?

The Cozy Winter Ritual Behind My Energy and Glow

Winter calls for rituals that actually make you feel amazing—and Pique’s Sun Goddess Matcha is mine. It delivers clean, focused energy with zero jitters, supports glowing skin and gentle detox, and feels deeply grounding on cold mornings. Smooth, ceremonial-grade, and crave-worthy, it’s the easiest way to start winter days clear, energized, and glowing from the inside out

Faith and Mindset🙏🏽

Here’s a bible verse to help you focus on small shifts to keep yourself from overthinking.

“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.”

Psalm 119:105

A lamp doesn’t light up the whole road. It just shows you where to step next. We want to see the entire staircase before we move. But faith doesn’t promise the full picture. It promises enough light for the next step. Boom!

Mental Health Tip: Small Movements

This week’s challenge:
When you notice yourself overthinking, choose one small action. That one action will lead to more action or momentum to keep going.

Some Examples:

  • Set a timer for 5 or 10 minutes. Do the thing you don’t have time for.

  • Start a workout without deciding how the whole week will go.

  • Write the first sentence without drafting the whole outline.

  • Just get out of bed. Stop scrolling, stop procrastinating.

  • Apply to one job that excites you. Then apply to another one. And another one.

What do you think of this quote?

“We suffer more often in imagination than in reality.” ~Seneca
